Time to Say Goodbye…
Dear Students,
Personally, I can’t believe how fast this journey came to an end. It seems like just yesterday you were writing your first blog for this class, going up to the book depository, wearing all black for your senior spirit day, and reading Macbeth. It’s been quite a whirlwind, but through it all I am honored to be able to call you my students and friends. No doubt all of you will go very far and will have great success in your lives. I hope to keep in touch and I look forward to hearing about this next phase that you are so quickly approaching.
I do have a few words of advice for you…
Use what you have learned in high school to help you in college. Pay attention in college and try not to miss any classes. Stick by your morals and beliefs. Study hard & make new friends. Don’t ever be afraid to ask for help.
I love you all!
Ms. Bush

Thanks so much Ms.Bush, those are very encouraging words, thanks for everthing!
It has been a pleasure being a student in your class. You have taught me a lot both in and out of school. I wish you much luck in your future endeavors, especially your wedding in October!
Thanks Ms. Bush! These words are greatly appreciated. Its been fun!
I concur with Brandon. Those few words of advice are greatly appreciated and go a long way. We have not yet experienced college and all that it has to offer but I believe that your advice will carry us all throughout college and life in general. I believe that we are all prepared for college in some sort of way especially academically. The year went by quickly and graduation is swiftly approaching but I know that I will carry the memories of this class forever. From learning how to “wobble” to chilling on the couch, its all been fun! Congratulations and good luck in your future endeavors class of 2011 and Ms.Bush! Hope to see you later! God bless the c/o 2011!!!!
Thank you Ms. Bush. You really did help keep us up to date about the scholarships and colleges more than any other teacher. I wish you the best for your future and hope you to grow and improve as the years go on. As we learn teachers learn too.
Aww Bush! I dont see how you can teach seniors every year. Getting close so quick to say goodbye so fast. You’re a wonderful person inside and out. I dont wanna spoil my letter but I wish you and Jason luck in the future. You’re a wonderful person!
Its been an honor sharing my Maya Angelou experiences with you. In future we can hit up Toast, Fly Trap or the Whitney for Brunch and Chardonnay!
You guys are great!
Thanks Ms.Bush! This has been a great year and I wish you and your fiance’ the best of luck!
Peace and love =)
Your advice is very vital to my future, but besides that…You’re a wonderful teacher, and it will be so hard to day “Goodbye”. When I come back to Lathrup, you will be one of the teachers that I dash through the hallways to see. The way you run a classroom is wonderful and it actually makes a student want to excel. Keep up the good work and hopefully we stay in touch!
Btw,Although I’m ready to get out of High School, a part of me will miss Lathrup and the class of 2011! ❤
Wow! I can’t believe it’s all coming to an end! It still hasn’t hit me yet but this blog post hit my heart. I’m ready to leave but i’m so sad to go! I’ve met so many great people here and have so many memories!
Thank you for the advice! And thank you for all the scholarship advice as well! It had really helped!
I will most definitely keep in touch!
*tear*
Thanks Ms.Bush it really has been a journey, but wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I enjoyed the books we read in class. I thank you for giving me the opportunity to do that Optimist Contest thingy
I wish you the best of luck in the years to come.
Well we come to the end of this year and I can truely say it has been a blast. I enjoy reading some of the books we had, and I wish everyone and you the best in every future endeavor.
Thank you so much Ms. Bush for the advise. Your class was honestly one of my favorite classes this year. Although almost every part of me can not wait to get out of here, there is still that really really tiny peace wanting to stay. Best wishes to you, Ms. Bush and the entire class of 2011!
Keep the comments coming and I’ll keep holding back the tears
Dear Miss(soon to be Mrs)Bush,
This year has been stressful, long, exhausting, and dare I say “Fun”? We’ve had our laughs, *cough* Brandon Hunter, long study hours, and good times. I have to say that I did enjoy the time I had in your class. I think that you may have been the best teacher because you were the only one that could actually relate to us! Thank God your not that old and you understand that senior year is hard. I appreciate all of the knowledge and wisdom that you have poured into us this entire year. Hope to keep in touch (VIA Twitter) lol. Thanks for the great year!!
Thank you for the encouraging words.
I am so happy to have had you as a teacher in my last year of high school. You understand the boundaries between academic and fun and that as seniors we need both. I have both studied hard and had the opportunities to relax and just unwind in your class. Throughout this year I felt as though I have learned a lot from you through both class time and Lathrup’s Lovely Ladies. I have been able to have both academic and female conversations with you and I know that I can come to you for any advice I need. I know that your wedding will be spectacular and that you will make a beautiful bride and I wish you and your soon to be husband tons of happiness.
I really don’t know where to start! You have been the best teacher I think I ever had in a long time! You are so nice and I’m so glad to be called your student! This year did move in a blink of an eye! I still can remember the day I stood up and introduced myself to the class and blushing everytime I looked at you! Lol Also, this year has been great until someone beat me to proposing to you but I’ll try not to cry…….again! Lol I’m just playing but I wish the best of luck to you and your fiancé! If he ever start acting up, I’m still here! Lol No but you have been an awesome teacher and I plan on coming back and visiting everytime I get a chance! I’m really going to miss everything about you! This is not a goodbye because you will never leave my heart or the students!
From the best student ever,
Tre’ Hall
Awww, you guys are best. If I ever have children, I hope they turn out as great as you all.
Dear Ms. Bush,

Well Ms. Bush,
To start off, I’d like to thank you for your encouraging advice. Also, I’d like to thank you for always being there for me. ALWAYS. Whenever I didn’t want to talk to anyone else about a certain problem in my life, you were there and I could talk to you. It was always fun reading in class and doing the morning announcements with you, which really helped me with my articulation. You truly have influenced me to pursue education as a career. Thanks for all of the jokes, fun, lessons, and more! Good luck to you and Jason! I hope to hear all about it
I definately look foward to visiting you next year when I am home from Michigan! GO BLUE! Maybe sometime soon I’ll even become your co-worker.
Once again, thanks for everything. Love you Ms. Bush!

Good Evening, we begin with breaking news!!! James Johnson departs from his favorite S-L teacher,(Ms. Bush)! Words can’t even begin to explain what I feel deep down inside in terms of education, happiness, and life lessons all taught by you Ms. Bush. There were tons of days I did not feel like getting out of bed on Mondays, but I just thought about doing announcements with you and that alone got me through the day. Ms. bush you are not only an excellent teacher, but rather an incredible person with a lot of charm and character. I thank god because I could not have asked for a better English teacher. Personally, I have had a blast this year because being able to mix in a little fun with learning does not come around to often and not only do I thank you, but we as the 2011 class thank you. Without a doubt, Ms. Bush were ever my journey takes me a part of you will always be with me. I appreciate everything you have taught me, not only in terms of my speaking and writing ability, but also the more serious matters we have discussed. Also it comes to no surprise that I owe much thanks to you because if not I know I would not be receiving all the recognition for the speech contestssssss.!!! I am just full and very sad it is all over…thank you, thank you, thank you! Ms. Bush, Patricia Cross once said, “The task of the excellent teacher is to stimulate “apparently ordinary” people to unusual effort. The tough problem is not in identifying winners: it is in making winners out of ordinary people. So thanks you for all your support through out my high school career! With sincere gratitude, James Johnson

It hard to say goodbye to the person whom you love it most. But that’s part of life. We have to do it in order explore things. Other people needs a space of their life.
I also felt sad when we said goodbye, when we graduated in college…I don’t know but sometimes i hate the word “goodbye” but as i think of it…we should accept it so that we can face another pace of our life and we can say the word “Hello” to start of.:D
Thanks for sharing your words of wisdom. Again and again we learn a lot something from you. You really did help keep us up to date about the scholarships and colleges more than any other teacher.
